Christmas Celebrations
What is Christmas? It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace."Agnes M. Pharo Our Mount Carmel School celebrated Suppose Christmas Celebration on 23rd December 2016 with gaitey and Joy.The festivities started from 2.00 p.m and got over at 4.00 p.m. The children participated by singing Christmas Carols and Nativity Skit which narrated the Christmas story. Santaclauss Welcome the Children with sweets and danced amongst them.
Pongal Celebrations
The festival of pongal hold traditional as well as cultural background. The word Pongal means "overflowing" signifying the prosperity.
People celebrate this festival of Pongal to thank the Sun God for agricultural prosperity and abundance. A great occasion for the farmers. Pongal is celebrated at the harvest season and is not confined to Tamil Nadu state but celebrated all over where the Tamil people lives.
Our Mount Carmel Family also celebrated Pongal Celebration on January 13,2018. School Teachers unitedly prepared chakkarai Pongal for the whole school. And the celebration was followed by many cultural events like dance,gramiya padalgal by the teachers and the students. And also we conducted Rangoli Competition for the students, they were also actively participated.
